Library West

Library West, located at the north end of the Plaza of the Americas, overlooks University Avenue in the historic core of the campus. It is a newly renovated and enlarged facility offering a pleasant atmosphere and the latest technology.

Library West houses a large collection of humanities and social sciences materials, including books, journals, microforms as well as many electronic resources. Our facility also contains the Isser and Rae Price Library of Judaica, which is a regional library of excellence in Jewish studies in the southeastern United States.

Plaza of the Americas

A favorite of students, this lovely green is a popular spot for lunching, student events and just hanging out. In 1931, this space was designated as the Plaza of the Americas at the successful close of the first meeting of the Institute of Inter-American Affairs (now the International Latin American Association). Twenty one-live oak trees were planted by student body to represent the attending nations, with placards, in commemoration.
